Participants in the Nurse Corps SP must remain enrolled in the nursing program for the entire program. To confirm their enrollment status during each term (e.g., semester, quarter), participants must utilize the Customer Service Portal to undergo an In-School Verification. Furthermore, a designated school official is required to attest to the participant’s full-time enrollment, and participants are mandated to furnish a transcript after the add/drop date at the commencement of each term, delineating the courses and credit hours for which the Nurse Corps SP is slated to receive an invoice. Additionally, participants must upload either an unofficial or official transcript upon the conclusion of each semester.

Nurse Corps Scholarship Eligibility Criteria
- Be a U.S. citizen (either U.S. born or naturalized), U.S. National, or Lawful Permanent Resident. Applicants must present acceptable proof of U.S. citizenship or status as a U.S. National or Lawful Permanent Resident, which includes a copy of a U.S. Birth Certificate; Certificate of Citizenship or Naturalization; unexpired U.S. Passport; U.S. Passport Card, State Issued Enhanced Driver’s License (EDL), or Permanent Resident Card (Green Card).

NOTE: The degree indicated on the application is the ONLY degree that the Nurse Corps Scholarship will support during your matriculation in school and service period.
How do you become a registered nurse?
To become a registered nurse (RN), you must complete an accredited nursing program and pass the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN).
Steps to become a registered nurse:
Step 1: Complete an accredited nursing program. Three types of nursing programs can lead to RN licensure:
- Associate degree in nursing (ADN): ADN programs typically take two years to complete and are offered at community colleges and technical schools.
